It's been weeks since she's spoken to Angel. What does she do? What does she say? It's Riley's first and loudest instinct to say nothing. She told Angel to leave her alone, after all, she can't just go back on that. But...

[ She answers, for the record, a full three hours after she received the message. Most of that time she spent deliberating. ]

I'm glad to hear that...I'm so sorry for not checking in on you again sooner, I unfortunately lacked the means to do so until now.

[ She's relieved, but also... not so much. Both because of how Riley was certainly not ok last they spoke, and like with Steve, Angel takes this as a dismissive response. Riley is rightfully angry, Angel wasn't able to help her before and she wasn't around to help her this time. ]

My apologies for being somewhat out of the loop, I haven't been able to access anywhere outside the castle for over a week.

[ She takes a deep breath, this is the part she doesn't talk about unless she's warning others away. But if it will help Riley...Certainly she's exaggerating, she likely hurt someone in the past by accident. But it would help her to know she's not alone in hurting others, couldn't it?

Or it could totally scare her off. Only one way to find out. ]

[ For at least another day, she doesn't have to talk about it. She doesn't have to try and explain. She doesn't have to think about the hydra in the other Yugi's body, telling her the truth she didn't want to acknowledge.

She could almost cry. This time, it isn't intentional when she doesn't reply to Angel. ]
